Ella Kristin Vogel — jugendlich-dramatischer soprano
"An electrifying performance — a consummate actress with the ability to combine sensitive musicality with genuine passion."
Acclaimed for her powerful lyric voice, her intensity onstage, and her well-honed vocal technique, Ella Kristin Vogel has been honored in multiple international competitions and is sought for roles that require dramatic passion and sensitive musicality. She has been repeatedly engaged to sing Tosca in Tosca, Mimì in La Bohème, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, and Wagnerian roles.
Other notable appearances include Nedda in I Pagliacci, Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly, Marguerite in Faust, and Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana. Later in 2026, Ms. Vogel will release an album of verismo arias on the ARIA Classics label, recorded with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra and acclaimed conductor Jonathan Pasternack.
Ms. Vogel has grown through intensive apprentice programs and study abroad. She performed in high-caliber young artist programs at Des Moines Metro Opera, Utah Festival Opera, DiCapo Opera (NYC), and the Natchez Festival of Music, where she won the Blackburn-Killelea Award for Most Outstanding Female Young Artist. She was featured in a special Wagner birthday celebration at the American Institute of Music (AIMS) in Graz, Austria.
Other outstanding honors include the prize for Acting and Interpretation at the International Competition "Cappuccilli – Patané – Respighi" in Alessandria, Italy, and second place in the Michael Ballam Concorso Lirico International Opera Competition.
Originally from Texas, Ms. Vogel moved to Vienna in January 2025 and holds an EU work permit as a freelancer and artist. She continues to enjoy frequent engagements with companies in the Pacific Northwest and is actively seeking representation to sing more in Europe.

Critical Acclaim
"The title role was radiantly sung and played by soprano Kristin K. Vogel."
"Her jewel-toned soprano darting like a butterfly — bursting with beauty and pathos right up until the final snuffed candle."
"Kristin Vogel gave us a genuinely lyric and beautiful performance as Marguerite, exhibiting both power and superb vocal control."
"What was unexpected was the explosive return of Kristin K. Vogel — in an electrifying performance. Ms. Vogel is a consummate actress, her ability to combine sensitive musicality with genuine passion in her vocal performance is remarkable."
"Sympathetic dramatic contrast came from the Queen's daughter, Pamina, sung by Kristin Vogel. Paminas are sometimes cast as frail characters, but not in this case. Ms. Vogel sang with authority and sensitivity to the phrasing and mood of the text."
"Kristin K. Vogel is outstanding, making her second season with the company memorable. She is able to incorporate perfect passion into her dynamics, going from hard to soft, not just loud to quiet."
"Kristin Vogel, channeling 1950s star Ann Blyth, made an effervescent Marietta, and looked smashing in her gowns. She was vocally assured, too."
